For Mother's Day 2010 I took a look back at some old photos and found this very early photo of my Mom and myself.

My goal for retouching this photo was to put more focus on the subjects, while retaining the 70's look and feel of a photograph from that time. I actually really like the specks of white on the left side of the photograph and I left them in intentionally to add character and age to the image. Aside from the white specks, I added more blur to the background to add more depth and to help the subjects to pop more. Once I washed away all the ugly yellow in the photo and tweaked the greens and magentas I've come to really love the color.
